2017, Year of surprises from Google for Google Maps Marketing or Google My business
Our very own tech giant Google loves to keep the SEO Company on toes and
life a bit interesting. The company is always known to bring something new on
the plate every now and then but this year in 2017 it has gone overboard with
surprises and updates in its products and services, especially Google
Maps Marketing or Google My business whatever you feel like calling it. In
just 6 months of this year it already announced 5-6 changes in their style of
work. Let’s walk through these changes.
·
If you know anything about the local finder then you
will be aware about the listings stating permanently closed. Well Google has
swept the floor with their broom stick and know the searches will be free from
all the closed listings. Earlier this year Google removed all the permanently
closed listings from the Local Finder.
·
In spite of updating the Google plus in 2015, the
older and the classic version of the platform was still accessible to the
people and the businesses, however now it has got a full stop from Google as it
has removed the ability to access your very own classic version of the Google
plus.
·
Google offers the ability to check the edits of the
business listings on the phone but not on desktop. Normally people used to
check the status on MapMaker, however it is closed people were trying to find a
new way. Google has given that new way to them. If you have done any new
changes or edits in your business listing in regards to your Google
Maps Marketing then you are in
treat because “Google launches a platform for reviewing edits to business
listings on Google Maps on Desktop.”
